"A series of 3 small paintings continuing with the theme of nature studies within the city. As a painter I am interested in the physicality of paint, particularly in the process of mark making. These paintings combine the delicacy of brushwork to depict a network of branches. Alongside thick oil applied with palette knives, colours being mixed and formed directly on the painted surface."- Neil Douglas
