Artist Jeffrey Brosk
This wall sculpture is made from a eucalyptus tree that was burnt and fell in a forest fire in Australia. The black surface is the charred surface. Because this piece of wood was so unique it took me a full year just studying the wood to decide my approach to using it. Finally because of the curve in the wood I decided to orient it so it gave a sense of shelter and real sense of place, and shaped the wood to accent the visual impact.
