Jacob's Ladder Series
The Jacob Ladder series began around 25 years ago. The steel rods formed a ladder visually reaching heights close to heaven, the absolute space between earthly beings and God. The title found itself years after the artist’s production. Hyong Nam Ahn states, “If any artwork is going to carry on to many years and generations moving forward, it needs to have a name that carries on.” The ladder becomes about the various relationships over time and the journey that exists in between.
