Silkscreen Monoprints by Jinwon Chang and Gary Lichtenstein

    Working with master silk-screener Gary Lichtenstein in his Jersey City studio, Mana Contemporary, the silkscreen monoprints were created using original paintings and hand painted background by Jinwon Chang as a road map, before and after printing, to find delicate balance between paintings and silkscreening. As a result, each print is uniquely made for The Laurel development and is installed on over 20 floors of the private condominiums corridors.

    A museum quality silkscreen monoprints of  “Kairos_3”, “Kairos_7”, “Kairos_9”, and “Hovering_3” are created using the original paintings as a road map alongside live hand painted backgrounds by Artist Jinwon Chang.

    Caligraphy Commission Work by David Chang

    Calligraphy artist, David Chang, developed an art commission for the lobby/reception area at The Laurel. Based on the history of the neighborhood of Rittenhouse Square, the three artworks are inspired by quotes from astronomer/inventor David Rittenhouse. Alongside the artwork are plaques with the full quote for additional context.
