ARTIST BIO & ARTIST STATEMENT

Australian born photographer, Mark Roskams, started his photography career in the early 2O's when he traveled the world and developed his interest in photography, design, and architecture. Seeing the great capitals of the world accelerated his inspiration in design art & architecture, and he pursued this passion that has spanned multiple decades. His work led him from New York to Florida, the Caribbean, and back to Europe until finally settling back in New York. 
Mark Roskams' photographs have been seen in various publications, including Architectural Digest's: Germany, France, Italy, Russia, China, Interior Design Elle Decor, and many others. During this time, he crafted his unique style of modifying and working with natural light to give structures an abstract shape, thus providing the intense forms and shapes he is known for in his photographs. In 2011 his book of architecture and interiors Masseria: The Italian Farmhouses of Puglia was published by Rizzoli International. Other books that he published with Rizooli are lnson Dubois Wood (2015), Equestrian Life (2018), and Entertaining Chic (2020) with Claudia Taittinger. Roskam's next book Serafina Italian Cooking is completed and soon will be published.
