Serenity Series
These works represent an ongoing series of wall sculptures that focus on the manipulation of chisel marks to replicate a texture which when coupled with gold leaf gives a sense of sunlight reflecting on the surface of water. The use of stain in varying degrees of density over the grain of the wood evokes a sense of heightened spirituality of nature. These wall sculptures as well as all Brosk's artworks are meant to celebrate the beauty, serenity and spirituality found within nature.
“When I turned from architecture to fine art, I initially used wood as a medium because it was more affordable than concrete and steel. But I started to be drawn to the beauty of it and was taken with the possibility of collaborating with wood as a distillation of the larger notion of Nature.
