In 2018, all the artists' ongoing difficult circumstances were sorted out, as light began to illuminate into her life, she prepared for her solo exhibition. During this process her father was taken to the emergency room in critical condition. In a frenzy to get ready, she received a phone call from her mother telling her not to come to the hospital. Her solo exhibition was too important to her family for her to miss. With a resolute voice, and trust that the doctors will protect her family, the artist recalls:
“I said to myself ‘Eunmi Chae, Eunmi Chae, Eunmiya! This solo exhibition resumes after a long time following turbulent, difficult affairs but Eunmi, do your job! It is to help us.’ And so I had to finish the work. At that moment, my heart ached, but at the same time, I felt warm unconditional love. I believed that God would protect me and my family. This is the reason why Eternal Heart was born. Eternal Heart represents the unchanging everlasting love.”
