"The chair in this piece symbolizes a role, authority, or status. Everyone has a role according to their status or position, and life is a process of solving the problems and tasks that stem from it. The red background evokes the typical associations of the color red, such as danger and warning. I used candy, which is sweet and inoffensive, as the solution we must find each time the red light flashes, like a warning signal. The candy is medicine—it signifies the solution.
