Blue Series
In his Blue Series, Lee often employs the use of blue paints as a primary layer prior to working. For Lee, the color blue is a symbol of hope and purity that washes away anything he brings to work prior to creating. From here he can begin to form the endless possibilities on the additional layers. Lee will also paint on top of the charcoal and hanji paper layers, creating in an ebb and flow; exposing and covering the color until reaching a state of harmony.
